Little Tikes World Championship – Safety Rules & Regulations

To ensure a safe, enjoyable and fun-filled event for everyone, all participants and parents/guardians must follow the safety rules outlined below.

1. Safety Rules for Children and Vehicles

1.1 – Helmet Requirements
All participating children must wear a securely fastened helmet at all times during the race. A bicycle helmet is the minimum requirement.

1.2 – Vehicle Safety Modifications
All Little Tikes cars must have a sturdy board securely fitted underneath the vehicle to prevent children’s feet from coming into contact with the track surface and reduce the risk of injury.

1.3 – Door Security
All vehicle doors must be securely fastened shut to prevent them from opening during the race.

1.4 – Age and Size Restrictions
Children must be aged between 2 and 6 years old to participate. All children must be appropriately sized for their Little Tikes car to ensure they can sit safely and comfortably.

1.5 – Parental Responsibility
Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and well-being of their children throughout the event. They must remain attentive to track conditions, other competitors and any potential hazards.

1.6 – No Motorised Vehicles
All Little Tikes cars must be completely free from motors or any form of mechanical or electrical propulsion. Vehicles must be powered solely by the parent or guardian pushing them.

2. Safety Rules for Parents and Guardians

2.1 – Suitable Footwear
All parents and guardians pushing vehicles must wear suitable, closed-toe footwear with good grip to maintain stability and reduce the risk of slipping or falling.

2.2 – Vehicle Control
Parents and guardians must maintain a firm grip on their Little Tikes car and remain in full control of the vehicle throughout the race.

2.3 – No Dangerous or Rough Racing
Dangerous pushing, deliberate contact, reckless manoeuvres or any actions that could cause collisions or endanger children, parents or other competitors are strictly prohibited.

2.4 – Awareness of Surroundings
Parents and guardians must remain alert to their surroundings at all times, including other competitors, track conditions and potential obstacles.

Particular care must be taken if another parent or guardian falls over or a vehicle becomes stationary on the track.

2.5 – Good Sportsmanship
All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, respect fellow competitors and encourage a friendly, positive racing environment.

3. General Safety Information

The safety of all children, parents, guardians and officials is our highest priority.

All participants must follow the instructions of event officials and comply with the safety regulations throughout the event.

Any participant who fails to follow these rules or behaves in a manner that puts others at risk may be excluded from the race.
