Scunthorpe Scorpions are delighted to start the announcement of their 2027 team with their new signing, Tate Zischke!

Zischke, who has spent the whole of his championship career at Workington, joins after impressing the Scorpions management many times, and after guesting for Glasgow in the playoffs and was their star performer.

Team manager David Howe was happy and relieved to get his signing. “We’ve been looking at Tate for quite a while. I’ve actually tried to get him to guest for us a few times but for whatever reasons it’s always fallen through. I really wanted him in ‘27 as I think it has taken him a bit of time to get over his injuries, but last season he was impressive and I really think he will kick on now.”

The Scorpions always try to build a team that is strong at home and this year is no different, but Howe thinks this signing will be a benefit away from home. “Tate will be strong at home but I also think he will give us a lot more away from home and the same as last year those bonus points are very important.”

The next signing will be revealed next Wednesday.
