ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL Scunthorpe Scorpions are seeking a second win of the season over the Redcar Bears in the BSN Series at the ECCO Arena in Teesside tonight (Friday).
Redcar are the reigning holders of the BSN Series, but Scunthorpe defeated them 50-40 in the season opener at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Sunday, with new No 1 and skipper Josh Pickering to the fore with a 13+1 return.
Scorpions track an unchanged side tonight, while Redcar bring in new signing Nicolai Klindt for the injured Chares Wright.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Our performance on Sunday was very encouraging. The minimum we want from our visit to Redcar is the aggregate bonus point, but there’s no reason why we can’t win the meeting – that will certainly be our aim.
“A win at Redcar would certainly put us in a healthy position in the Northern Group of the BSN Series.”
For those who cannot make it to Redcar, the Bears are live streaming the meeting for £13.99 at: https://live.redcar-speedway.com/
Expected teams for tonight (Friday):
Redcar Bears: 1. Nicolai Klindt, 2. Jake Mulford, 3. Jordan Jenkins, 4. Jason Edwards, 5. Jake Allen, 6. Ace Pijper, 7. Jody Scott.
Ellie Rose Travel Scunthorpe Scorpions: 1. Josh Pickering (C), 2. Nathan Ablitt, 3. Luke Harrison, 4. Connor Mountain, 5. Michael Palm Toft, 6. Simon Lambert, 7. Ryan Ingram.
* ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL Scunthorpe Scorpions are next in action at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday, April 10 (at 7.30pm), when they entertain defending champions Poole Pirates in the MAXiCab Knockout Cup.
